I don’t care for pony porn personally, (I don’t mind some slightly risque’/sexy stuff as long as it isn’t to perv’y/graphic) but I gatta say declaring “war” on Rule-34 artists is pretty stupid. This is as bad as when Kevinsano got banned from “The Round Stable” for not doing anything, but saying “hello.”

i think people use tumblr because is more easy and fast to get followers than any art sitie. you can get a lot of followers if somebody who have thousands of followers share you photo. then those who have seen your picture share with another thousands more.

No, they can’t link it. AFAIK linking with a SFW cropped image is what Kevinsano did an he still got banned. Just having the gallery link on the sidebar, and then a linkless text post saying “hey, something new on my other sites” is what I think would work.

Artists use tumblr because it allows them to talk shit, not just post art. FA, IB, DA, whatever are very dry; you post the image, you get some comments about the image, the end. The most “normal” interaction is on mostly unused “user front page” comment lists.
 
Lots of artists want to post an image they made, then reblog some funny post they just saw, and send a comment off to another artist. All in one,
 
Admittedly they should also upload to actual art sites and link there. Whenever they have something Tumblr would freak out over (and freak out is the correct term, given their first and only reaction is to instantly kill everything) just post a very vague “something new on my X gallery” without directly linking to it.

This is completely wrong. FA allows uploading of any kind of pornographic artwork, so long as the characters are not underaged. There’s tons and tons and tons of (drawn) human porn there. The only porn they don’t allow is real-life porn and underaged characters.

I’ve been wondering that too. Why use tumblr when the interface is about as convulted as you can get. Plus size limits (FA has them, but they’re circumvented by a simple filename edit).

At least with sites like FA, one’s fans/followers/watchers can have easy access to all of one’s art in a simple, convenient gallery, instead of having to sift through an “Archive” page.

Given the “CollegeHumor” stamp on that image, I suspected it was a fake, or at least a joke being misinterpreted as legit. But it seems to be a real thing.
 
Given that URL and the tag line at the bottom, this seems to be a 16.5-year-old story; I’m curious if anyone, outside the two gentlemen mentioned in that story, is still using “heaveno”.
 
Maybe I’ll just start using “buenos dias”, “buenos tardes”, and “buenas noches” as appropriate…
