I used to use PHP.

Mostly because my server lied about supporting the alternatives.

Now, the only things PHP on my site are the random background image on the frontpage, the messageboard, and the wiki.

PHP is great at certain things but not great for many other things.

You’d be suprised what you can do with PHP, I once made an IRC bot with a mysql database with it. Good times.
