I imagine the human world counterpart of Smooze is a bioweapon Chrysalis and Zecora created for the Canterlot PD to use as a last resort and to clean up bodies when police shootouts get…messy, but Shining Armor frequently buddies up with him and teaches him the magic of friendship…and beer, much to Chrysalis’ chagrin.
