The tan look kinda suits her actually, given how sporty/outdoorsy she is.
I kinda like how her “race” looks ambiguous here. I’ve seen some of those “progressive/diverse/P.C.” artists go SO overboard with ethnic details, or facial features, and such so much they almost end up looking like a racist caricature.
(Nothing against diverse humanization, as some realistic ones can be done “right,” if they don’t go overboard, or make ’em stereotypical.)
This, I don’t mind black/tanned characters myself when they are drawn nicely.
