I feel the same way with the School of Friendship and I never finished season 8.
Starlight is as official as Nyx- they’re both fictional characters no more real than a circle drawn on a piece of paper.
If you choose to be effected by something that cannot harm you then it isn’t the show that has the problem.
In short, starlight isn’t going to pop out and smack you in the face.
And why? Except she’s black and it’s cool.

Nyx haters just b people who heard about Past Sins and never read it, or read it but never really thought about any of the characters or why stuff happened. (Like people saying Nyx is a Mary Stu sounds like a joke, because it’s obvious she isn’t.)

Before this turns into a big argument let’s call it quits and enjoy the fact that Nyx is a beautiful soul who deserves to be understood by the Nyx haters who refuse to be informed as to why she’s so near and dear to the hearts of ponies like us.

Well… an innocent child, a demon, a saint. All of these together. A hero that only in Equestria can exist.
One of the most non-understood and underrated characters ever (Because people don’t understand how psychology works). And “Past Sins” is the only English-language fan-fiction I know which can be named “professional literature”. Something like that.
And yes it’s the character that is totally opposite to Starshit Himmler.
