Russian amateurs are using (till now as i know) devices which can work both in telegraph and voice mode. Some of them only in telegraph. So all this we call “radio”. This pic was drawn as congratulate for russian radio-day (7 may).
BTW. I am author of this pictire. :)

Isn’t that a telegraph key she’s working? If so, then this would appear to be some kind of wireless telegraph set, rather than only a radio. (Though since they use radio to transmit, that may be a Distinction without a difference.)

On a side note: Have we actually seen any cannonical use of radios or telegrams in the show? I can’t recall.
