First is Level 1. It is usually light tickling. Often it is used between loved ones in tickle fights or consensual tickling. In Level 1, the only bondage used is always made from the tickler’s body, such as pinning the other down, or wrapping an arm around the ankles.
 
Level 2 gets more into the common tickle torture. Level 2 almost always involves bondage of some sort like stocks or rope. Here, the tickler gets the ticklee until the victim complies to the tickler’s demands, or goes into silent laughter and is in danger of passing out.
 
Level 3 is the most extreme. Often it is used to mentally and physically break a person. The ticklee may be tortured for an extended period of time with little breaks. Other tools that may be used in Level 3 are blindfolds, ball gags, possible forced orgasms, and near complete immobility.
