LOL
I have actually played with siphoning soda before. The really messy part is when you want to stop drinking: you have to blow back and force all the liquid out of the straw, else it would keep siphoning.
The carbonation bubbles could collect there and cause a problem, but I’d wager it would still work. High points aren’t an issue as long as the source is higher than the outlet.

Just plug the end with your tongue when you’re not drinking. The siphon is powered by gravity so it should start right back up when you release. But yeah…it’s probably gonna make a huge mess until you get the system right.
Granted, my experience at this is mainly limited to gasoline, but I see no reason soda shouldn’t work the same.
Thats what I was thinking.
Gravity siphoning fizzy drink into your mouth sounds like it would end quite painfully. Also, you’d have to keep the straw in your mouth to avoid making a mess.
But there’s a vertex on the third freen straw, unless that is fixed the soda will only reach there, requiring her to suck on the straw anyhow.
That’s what you get for listening to your headphones in physics class instead of paying attention!
I tried doing that when I was 6, I speak from experience when I say it’s not worth it.
