Long story short, Looney tunes is more comedy then story.

Not all cartoons are like that. Hell, not even this one. Even if that was true, that kind of breaks one of the rules of comedy, that in one form or another there’s some element of misery behind it. If there’s no pain, then what’s funny about it. And these moments with Starlight aren’t played completely for laughs, if at all. And you mentioned Looney Tunes to sTs, but those cartoons worked because of the misery element thrown in there. But it’s not just that, the characters in that cartoon that get beat up and whatnot actually deserve it in one way or another. Starlight didn’t really do anything to deserve it. You could make the argument that she deserved it in Road to Friendship, but everything that happened in that trip wasn’t her fault and the karma there was taken a bit too far. I mean yeah, trading the wagon was a wrong (id not understandable) move, but I don’t think it’s worth being eaten or burned alive over it.
 
I know I went off on yet another rant again, but I’m just trying to say that there’s more science behind comedy. You know what they say, “It’s comedy that’s hard”

Also, The Parent Map and bathtub moments aren’t really the same as the other two moments. Parent Map, Starlight was more annoyed than anything, and the bathtub bit was honestly funny (not to mention she clearly wasn’t in any danger and was more startled than anything).

I don’t mind it THAT much, but yeah, here’s hoping that season 9 is a little kinder to Starlight.

I’ve nothing against Yona, sure I too don’t want to her get hurt, however I definitely don’t want to see Starlight being tortured and hated upon.
