I love how Lyrabon fanatics are quick to say “oh he could be a relative” or “She’s just pity dancing with him” while basically justifying the argument that Lyra and Bon Bon are just best friends.
 
Also, I highly doubt she’s dancing with him because he’s her brother or out of pity because she doesn’t have a brother, as far as we’ve seen, and, come on, this guy is a hunka hunka!
 
I think it’s more likely that either they are dating or, like her and Bon Bon, they are just good friends.
