Oof, those things.
also sawtooth weapons are mostly a product of fiction because it’s way to easy to get stuck in armor flesh or bones with them. The only example in history I’m aware of were the wooden swords of hawaiians or other ancient american civilicians were the tooth would break out of the wood if they got stuck.

That’s actually a sword breaker. The notches are designed to catch your opponent’s blade, allowing you to twist and either disarm them or snap their blade.
I also hated the idea of sawtooth blades. They do so much damage that’s really hard to treat…
