If you actually check the tumblr’s, Canada (the first one) in particular is upset about it. So yes. Fear of thunder stealing.
Not that it really matters - if you care to actually read what I wrote I’m simply letting people know those two were the first.

It doesn’t seem like a scandal or anything that two separate people in a three year time period came up with the idea of ponifying these particular countries. No thunder-stealing.

These two here are better drawn maybe, but rather inactive and also neither of them are talking to one another. The original two are unhappy at their thunder potentially being stolen.
