sighThis could’ve been amazing if nothing had been spoiled. The first Discord clip alone would’ve been fine.Seriously - removing that one clip (that shows the guy in action), and a few key scenes from the show teaser ad, they could have keep his identity completely quiet with even the 5 other clips.
Sigh that was awesome. It’s better when the villain is not revealed before the episode.

Hasbro will never do that again. They will spoil every finale from now on. They’ve shown to be incapable of not spoiling everything.
They could at least try to hide some details. The commercial from last episode pretty much spoiled the ending entirely.

The other thing to consider: S2’s finale was one that we knew the show would continue but there was nothing about the status quo (outside of Twi suddenly having a brother or the existance of Cadance), so everyone was expecting a boring wedding epsiode.
S3 and now S4 we know (whether by Hasbro or by media) that there’s a major Wham coming (Twilight going alicorn, the introduction of Twilight’s kingdom), so it’s little hard to create something of a surprise finale at this point.
A boring episode with cloning shenanigans, but nope.

Yeah, THAT’S how you do a teaser thing. Everyone thought Cadance was evil, and the clones were just something random. There was no speck of changeling at all in the previews for that.
You shouldn’t be able to piece together exactly what will happen in the finale just by official previews.
i loved that, they tricked everyone into thinking it would be a boring marriage episode, then BAM!

Remember how Chrysalis was revealed in the show itself by complete surprise? There will never be another new character like this.
I didn’t think Discord would look funny like that, but there it is.
