I have to ask though, it is possibly Dinky on the way, or is this even possibly Sparkler? (Some fanon say that Derpy had two daughters, and Amethyst Star, a.k.a. Sparkler is Dinky’s older sister—the episode Sisterhooves social could have made Dinky and Sparkler in canon)

Maybe if it doesn’t try for a surprise, like if in the very next comic Firfly’s like “oh shit, are you pregnant?”
 
If on the other hand it’s like “gosh, why’s Derpy feeling so bad?” it’ll be pretty tedious.

Sometimes a slow build to a foregone conclusion makes it all the better, especially if handled well. Just look what happens when people have movies spoiled… they’re always on the lookout for something they know is coming, it increases anticipation.
