Yeah, but at least Uprising has an advantage over something like ID:R:
I DIDN’T WAIT TWO DECADES OF MY LIFE FOR PR:U TO COME OUT.
It’s just that nowadays “mindless fun” is produced at the cost of killing what was previously well thought out story and mechanics.
IE: take the name of a popular brand, gut out all the thought provoking things in favor of flashy lights (all style, no substance), and sell it to the lowest common number.
I thought it was fun. Certainly better than another certain sequel.
(Looks at Independence Day Resurgence with disappointed eyes.)
No prob. Sarcastic remarks are often a mistake to make without a big banner announcing them.
Yeah, it forgot everything that made it fun and went to “G Gundam” levels of stupidity, but didn’t have the fortune of being in it’s own containment timeline.
Forget it, it seems i didn’t read your comment well. My bad.
What are you talking about?… This sequel forgot everything that made the original such a great show to the point it feels like you are watching a generic michael bay popcorn fest. What a wasted chance.
“DAZ RAYCIST! YOU ONLY HATE IT BECAUSE A STRONK BLACK MAN WAS IN THE LEAD AND NOT BECAUSE THE WRITING AND PLOT WERE SUB PAR!” - every excuse ever.
Striker Eureka still had heft to the movements and that would have been fine if these new jeagers were like that, but they really aren’t.
Flexible is different in comparison to weightless, which is what these new jeagers look like.
Well, that’s kinda because they’re mostly Mark 5 to Mark 6 Jaegers so, chances are, they’re much more flexible considering lots of technological leaps have been made since the first Kaiju War. Also, last time I checked, Striker Eureka was the fastest Jaeger of her generation seeing as she was the only Mark 5 in active duty.
