Honestly I couldn’t care less about his work. His designs left much to be desired in my opinion, and I find even just looking at his art cringeworthy. However, hacking his account is absolutely in bad taste, and fortunately the situation has been dealt with quickly.

I hope this was just a random attack and not from within the fandom. I can’t imagine anyone hating Shep’s work.

I guess, ideally, it would take a username and match it to a password in a database that was ill-gotten, or something like that.
 
But in this case, it’s just a virus (judging from comments), meant to entice folks, maybe those with perhaps less than pure intentions. Just like when folks advertise celebrity sex tapes or a free version of some game that happens to be popular.
 
Remember, kids, don’t download free “tools” from internet strangers, especially those who advertise by compromising accounts. Those who are savvy tend to take advantage of those who aren’t.

I doubt ‘hacked’ is the correct word for this. Its far more likely his password sucked, or they tricked him into giving it to them.

Dunno why, but this just randomly reminded me of that incredibly obnoxious spyware program from the early 2000s, Bonzi Buddy.

Most likely hacked by a hater within the fandom, or it could be random.
