I knew we would get this synopsis soon, so I’ve been refreshing this schedule page all night. You’re welcome.
Also I kinda wish they could have kept the identity of the bad pony a secret all the way up to the airing of the episode, just to keep the tension of “which pony will it be??” and make the surprise better.
But I guess we still have a week left where they could drop us one more commercial.
Seem like too many characters to keep relevant. We already almost forgot about Zecora and Cheerilee and Celestia still haven’t got an episode. With Starlight being focused this season and with Moondancer on deck, adding Trixie looks pointless. And since her dream is to become an entertainer, there isn’t much point for her to even stay in Ponyville. I think her visit is just temporary. Maybe she’s just using Starlight and Twilight to promote her show in Manehattan and then just leave.
I don’t care. More Trixie is fine by me.
And here we have me being amazingly wrong. I hope this episode turns out well.
There was a point of Gilda appearing in an episode about Gryphon land. Trixie being “a villain” even though she was cotnrolled by an amulet seem like a forced premise to give her a reason to somehow appear in the episode instead, i don’t know….pursuing her career at Manehattan magic show?
Pandering after she’s only appeared in two episodes? Uh yeah, no.
I’ll never understand complaints of pandering.
Do you even know what you’re saying? DO you know what pandering is?
Look like a huge pandering, tho. Unless they explain it really well.
YESSSS
EEE! I can’t wait! we haven’t seen Trixie in a long time! <3
Looks like all of you owe me $100!
It’s confirmed on their Facebook it’s Trixie.
“So… You’re a friend of Twilight? “
“Yup!”
“And I hear that you tried taking over Equestria?”
“Yeah… I’m not too proud of that, kinda dark times for me… “
“Heh yah… Hey I guess that means we have something in common!”
“Hehe I guess so?”
Being made the Princess’ personal student isn’t being rewarded? Certainly she wasn’t turned to stone, blown up, or sent to the pony equivalent of Hell.
I’ve already conceeded that I have not seen the episode but you too could be equally wrong so let’s see what the future holds. Though I freely admit I hope you’re right. As it stands I’d call this more venting annoyance rather than outright anger, but I do apologize for any rudeness that has come across.
First off, Starlight never tried to kill anyone, that’s just your interpretation of events that aren’t as cut and dry as you make them out to be. Second, she was not rewarded for her actions, they could have let her go and let her do whatever she wanted, but they didn’t. Also, people seem to forget how she deeply regrets her actions. While I will agree her backstory is a bit weak, it’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, and it’s not as if similar things never happen. As for rainbow rocks, The mane six forgave sunset immediately, and most of equestria don’t know who starlight is.
And as for your complaint about twilight’s actions in this episode, you’d have a point if the episode had already aired and that’s exactly how it played out, but as it stands neither of those are true, and you’re only going of of a synopsis, and those are always oversimplified. Remember the synopsis for gauntlet of fire, where it seemed like spike’s friends would be captured and he’d have to compete to save them, and people feared that they would hold the idiot ball and that their powers would be downplayed? That never happened.
Not getting too angry over minor things isn’t that hard. Many things in fiction anger me in the moment, but I always get over it and keep my judgement fair, and I only go off of what the episodes tell me unless there are incredibly obvious contradictions and/or unfortunate implications, key words being “Incredibly obvious”.
Edited
Ging back to Starlight, tried to get revenge, altered time, caused untold suffering. And that’s ignoring the fact she also ran a cult, imprisoned the Mane Six and tried to murder the Equal Four. Her reasons for all of this nonsense? Oh my friend left when I was young and I couldn’t deal. And for that she essentially gets rewarded. And none of the characters express any real concern about that decision.
And as far as Twilight being opposed to Starlight befriending a former bad pony…Seems like a massive step backwards and hypocritical since she’s okay letting the God of Chaos chum it up. As if whover this (former) miscreant could pose a greater threat to friendship than Discord.
The sad thing, I’d be more okay with this if it was presented more like Rainbow Rocks where Starlight didn’t immediately get forgiveness and if they give a plausible reason why two (former) baddies can’t hang out.
But two things, you are correct that I have yet to see the episode and hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised. And the second, like was said before, I do probably need the “Don’t care bear”.
Well Trixie isn’t a main character. Though I would be more than happy to see her.
There’s nothing wrong with being passionate about the shows you enjoy and the characters you like, dude.
It’s heartening that people still care enough to get invested in these things. I believe that trixie may be getting her due soon so don’t count her out just yet.
Try not to let the things you don’t like get to you too much though as it may lead to actual stress if you become too emotionally invested in things you can’t control.
