This is true. The lore catalogers are gonna have a field day.
Good thing they already raised a flag and said “POCKET TIMELINE THAT DOESN’T AFFECT THE SHOW”.
Otherwise the main villain was going to be Celestia and Luna’s brother who did the NMM thing much earlier, became much more in tune with it, and has also been locked up.

I guess I got carried away because the critic’s opinion to both films is similar to the haters’ opinions of them. Unlike polarizing films with positive reviews like the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot and Frozen.
Your personal opinion doesn’t matter. Critics think they’re bad, and they came to that conclusion on their own.

there’s no “Listening to the haters” going on. Critics panned those movies because they were bad, not because other people hated them. If the MLP movie is good, critics will like it.

If the movie sucks, both the fans and critics will agree.
Well if the Movie is anything like the show, then it’ll be pretty good. But if it fails to capture the heart of the show and be a bland and lifeless story, then don’t say you were surprised.

Critics love the show, and have praised rainbow rocks. The reason that the movies you mentioned got poor reviews was because they were bad, not because of their source material.
Yeah, I doubt it’ll be a hit with critics, (critics hated the Pokémon movies, and such) but oh well.
