Hmm i didnt even notice the bun! Altho the face looks like a stallions tbh. like comparing rosedust of the fill 4 to this pony (they have the same colors), this pony seems to have a more broad snoot

I think the character is supposed to be a female, as they wear their mane in a bun. Of course men can use buns, but I think a recolor of this character was used in A New Generation as a foal’s mother (which may mean the character design as a whole was created to be used in females).
