My start was back in 2011, stressed out with studying for my Electricity and Magnetism Exam I saw the girls on an anime form and then bam Brony forever. XD I also really liked cute slice of life anime so the storytelling and feel good nature of MLP:FIM naturally clicked with me. XD

Myskinsoft Pony Remover was the first pony related thing i saw and that got me into the show and that got me addicted to pony porn.

How I became a brony is a bit strange. Well, at least I think so. Early on in 2011, I discovered abridged show, such as DBZA and Yugioh abridged. Binged those and then came across Code MENT. Of course, I watched episode 11 of Code Ment about the speaker button joke and I thought ‘hey, is that My Little Pony? No, the animation was actually good,’ so I got curious and watched a few PMV’s.
 
I didn’t watch any episodes until May, starting at the beginning, and watching OtakuAscended commentaries. I honestly thought I was going to hate the show. I mean, the only My Little Pony I knew about was G3 because of my sister and I avoided that because of the terrible animation and all that. I thought I’d turn it off in the first five minutes.
 
I ran straight through season 1 and then started making PMVs myself. I just fell in love with the show nearly instantly.

Before getting into Ponies, anime and various things like Touhou and J-games series were my interests. I knew about the MLP franchise for awhile, and to me it looked like a very girly Barbie-esque toy series I’ve ruthlessly mocked as a teen.
 
Back in late 2011 however, on a Touhou fansite there was a thread where people posted ponies. I was baffled, but for some reason, I was happy. The ponies looked so cute. when I learned it was MLP, at first I didn’t believe they were THOSE abominations I hated as a kid. Later I came in contact with My Little Brony on Cheeseburgerz and got addicted to the memes and pony clips, parodies by the fandom. It later dawned to me that Ponies looked and behaved very anime, and the crossovers with my favourites series such as Touhou worked beautifully. Plus I was born on the year of the horse in the Chinese zodiac, it was almost like I was destined to become a Brony. Started watching episodes at the beginning of 2012, which was season 2(I had to watch season 1 on my own time). Shortly afterwards, Derpygate happened and I felt the need to protect the fandom. Brony ever since.

I remember hearing about MLP:FiM just by browsing through the favorites of people I follow on Deviantart. I couldn’t understand what the whole deal was about until one of my friends at the time asked if I had heard about the new My Little Pony. I told him that I kept seeing it everywhere and I was just as confused as he was.
 
Now before MLP, I was already a sucker for cute characters in some series and games I follow and I feared that MLP:FiM would finally be the “execution” of my “manliness”. The only time I had seen footage of the show at the time was in an old DinnerWarrior Youtube Poop called “Robotnik watches My Little Pony”. So eventually during May of 2011, right before Season 1 ended, I gathered up my courage and decided to check the show out. After watching the pilot, my reaction was “Well, that…….wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. I wonder what the rest is like?”
 
After some more watching and fan art browsing, I was hooked. Which eventually got me to draw my first pony picture, which was one of the first pics in the entire fandom that was related to defending Celestia! When I drew that pic, I knew that I would be a fan of her for life.  
Long story short, I browsed through more and more fanart, and met more and more people until I was eventually acquainted with certain people who would become my best friends online. There’s a lot more I can say but to sum it up, I am glad that I discovered My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and became a brony. :)

My first introduction to the show was a Sparta remix of the “I AM RARITY!” line from Sonic Rainboom.

I’ve thought about ponies every single day for the past five years, and I like it that way.

I remember when e621 first started getting influxes of pony porn.  
 
Good times man.

I downloaded the first season out of curiosity, And the prologue got my interest, But i wasn’t much into it, So i kinda watched all the episodes one after another because i had nothing better to do (And it took forever to download b/c it was in 1080p), Until i got to ‘Suited For Success’, Then i fell in love with Rarity’s character.  
And then we lived happily ever after <3

I was on the “Too Many Disney Parodies” forum of Fanfiction.net; and someone, specifically a user notorious for writing fics where Freddy Kruger and other horror icons murder Disney characters, started mentioning how much he loved this new My Little Pony Show.
 
I rolled my eyes, thinking he was just trolling. But curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to check out the latest episode at the time: “Feeling Pinkie Keen”.
 
…the rest is history.

i remember someone asking for a MLP price guide (not FiM, for it doesn’t exist at that point) but they dismissed the request because it was a MEN’s magazine.
