Lawful Girly
Not a Llama - Happy April Fools Day!

@Background Pony #4426
All very true…and honestly, Sour Sweet seems to have some kind of…problems. And even she takes some of the responsibility for causing the problem at the end, while pinning the rest on Cinch is rather justified.

I honestly like that they made the Shadowbolts not flat-out evil caricatures, just instead reasonably realistic private high school girls. Makes for a much more convincing turn for the heroic at the end, and it’s a nice break from the usual villains. Sort of funny, I never thought Equestria Girls would be the place to find antagonist depth–but with Sunset and them combined, it’s easily the best in that department.

IMO the only one really nasty to SciTwi was Sour Sweet. In the bus and archery scenes, she really is a big meanie, as Fluttershy would say.

Lemon is obnoxious but not mean.

Indigo acted similarly to Lemon Zest. Not so much being mean to Twi as just overwhelming her with her personality. I’m sure a lot of other Crystal Prep students cringe when Ms. ARE WE GONNA WIIIIIIIN?! gets close to them.

Sunny is justifiably annoyed that Twi has tackled her. Her amusement at Sour Sweet’s berating Twi is kind of mean though.

Like you said, Sugarcoat is mostly just brutally honest. It WAS a shitty speech and Twi was REALLY bad at archery….
