I like the fact that she has a Pidgeot. I remember finding it weird that Blue/Gary had a Pidgeot in the endgame of Generation I games when I was a kid. It wasn’t that great of a Pokémon to me. I had caught legendaries, trained stuff much tougher, and thought his choice was poor. Now, I get it. It was the first Pokémon he caught. If you take the optional battle with him on Route 22, it’s his starter and Pidgey. Pidgeys are extremely common, early-game Pokémon, but Blue/Gary (and here, Rainbow Dash) cared for them enough to level them and keep them in the party at the top of their game.

Still surprised I never see Rapidash on RD’s team. I mean, it’s a fast horse with “Rapid” and “Dash” in its name. But IDK if people are going for competitiveness or what.
