Yeah there’s really obvious platonic love here… I don’t think anyone could argue that now. They went from not liking each other much to getting along but still liking to poke and tease each other, to learning how to work together and now, to understanding and strongly supporting each other. Between the way that chemistry’s changed and how much they’re paired together, with Hasbro apparently pushing LyraBon and Scratchtavia pairings (MA Larson said he was told by Hasbro to pair the former together and to have the latter living together when he wrote SOL) because they keep track of what’s popular in the fandom, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised anymore if we started seeing subtle hints of more than platonic love going forward.

That they started out not liking each other much and have grown closer to become obviously really good friends is the main reason I ship them actually.

The Rarijack in this episode was so obvious I would be surprised if it wasn’t totally intentional. It’s not like the crew isn’t influenced by the fandom after all. And before anyone thinks I’m just looking through shipper’s goggles, I don’t even ship it - I don’t dislike the pairing, I’ve just never gotten into it. Though tbh that may have changed a bit after this ep…not so much because of the ship teases, but because they’ve developed enough together that I can actually see them working as a couple now and not just annoying the crap outta each other.

The shit Applejack had to put up with in this episode. I feel bad for her.

Seriously the only more concentrated effort from the crew to mess with shippers than this episode is LyraBon stuff basically.
