Therefore, we had several scenes where crossdressing was a thing in the show, and not so many people seemed to cared about, except now that the staff featured this image. Ironic.

No one was trying to start a conflict. Just one did start anyway, so we put an end to it.

I personally don’t mind this image… although random OC’s being featured combined with the moderator description give a very significant appearance of trying to start a conflict when there shouldn’t be any.
 
At a glance, it looks like a mare in a maid outfit. With the mod’s note and all of the tags, it becomes something much different.
 
Again, I don’t mind or care, just wanted to point that out.
 
Also, this artist is already fairly well known. I was under the impression that features were for getting good artists without much popularity some more attention? Or did that change?

I don’t consider this a fetish image. Crossdressing is a fetish, but not all crossdressing pics are fetish pics.

Featured images are decided on a nomination/voting system. No one’s ever nominated a diaper fetish image before, and even if one did get nominated, it’d have to garner enough votes during a cycle to win.

There’s a “safe” rule, I think? I dunno why some fetishes would be “safe” but others not. Some are more common, sure, but it doesn’t make them any more “safe”, really. I’m certainly not complaining about not seeing fetish images pop up, though. …In part because it looks like one has, now. Eh.
 
A cute, tasteful, well-drawn and relatively safe fetish image, maybe, but still kinda fetishy. It’s a blurry line, but they’re pushing it. Eh.

The unfamiliar is uncomfortable, especially when it’s a new mixture of the familiar and the unfamiliar. I admit, myself, am slightly uncomfortable at the notion, but I’m not here to complain about the image, I am here to complain at the cognitive dissonance in-between my logical and emotional sides of my brain, as well as, well, comment on this interesting phenomenon.
 
It could cause some problems for someone if they become attracted to themselves and/or otherwise confused, heavens knows identity crises aren’t fun, but intrinsically, I will strongly point out that it is hypocritical to object to men wearing women’s clothing, but not too women wearing men’s.
 
Hmm, though even as I type, I wonder if it’s not to do with attraction. Many men find women’s clothing attractive, but women aren’t often the same way to men’s clothing, so much as it is a status symbol to them as opposed to fetish wear.
 
These are generalities, take for what you will.
 
In any case, a private site can host whatever image it likes, that’s well within its rights.
 
And I would be a hypocrite to complain.
