I should be more specific: information that you gathered from reading books, watching movies, etc. Anything that you “take in.”  
Smarts: Anything that’s combined with your own set of logic, morals, and common sense.

Intelligence is odd for me to describe. I see it as being different from being smart.  
I define intelligence as what you learn over the years, while I define general smarts as anything that one can decipher mostly independent from outside sources.

AJ is down to earth, and practical, but I’d say Pinkie’s really pretty bright in spite of all of the silly things she does, as opposed to AJ who doesn’t do nearly as many silly things, but doesn’t have the raw brainpower Pinkie does.
