Description
During my last outing to the Getty Center a month ago, one of the current exhibits was on Renaissance artist Andrea del Sarto. Since no photography was permitted, I recreated some of del Sarto’s sketches by hand in my sketchbook. Later, I recreated a few of them with Equestria Girls characters…
From left to right:
-The sketch of Adagio was originally del Sarto’s study of a child with extended arms. When I first saw the image, I immediately thought of an existing piece of fan art that showed Adagio in a similar pose: >>731800
-The sketch of Moondancer was originally del Sarto’s study of a young man with a book. I originally planned on putting Twilight in this pose, but I then decided to go with Moondancer.
-The sketch of Fluttershy and Applejack was originally del Sarto’s study of two young boys. I decided to recreate this with Fluttershy and AJ in bikinis after hearing about the swimsuit cosplays a couple of friends did.

Thanks a bunch! :)
