Yup, you are correct.  
This was originally meant to be Canterlot, but I liked the idea of having the castle up in the background, so I turned this into Ponyville and put the Pink Cloud up on the castle.

You can see Canterlot up on the mountainside in the background with a pink cloud surrounding it so maybe she’s just exploring a noxious and foggy Ponyville?
