Even I’ll admit looking back on it, Season 3 was probably the weakest season of the series. (Even though, I still enjoyed it.) Though, funny thing is I actually did like the “Spike At Your Service” episode, despite it being considered one of the worst episodes of the show.

Also, from what I hear comic writers/artists don’t exactly get “rich” off of licensed comic books. Tracy Yardley who does pencil art for Sonic & Megaman even said his wife had to get 2 jobs at one point. (And both series are some of Archie Comics’ best selling comics.)
 
Who knows really? If the show can come back after all the drama/anger over Season 3’s controversial “quality” (and not just the “Twilicorn” drama, some really hated that entire season in general, and felt it was the weakest season of the series) therefore I kinda hope the comic can regain a better reputation too, and pull a “Season 4” on us.

Frankly, I think people who actually pay money for the series have more of a right to complain/criticize it then those who don’t.
 
I hope the series gets better soon. Still, an art book is a nice idea, sense regardless what fans think of the stories/writing, the art is still nice. I even enjoy Jay Fosgitt’s unique art style. (Frankly, I think G5 should look something similar to it.) :P

We’re working on it. The last year or so has been pretty vitriolic at times.

Well, the comics are a pretty touchy issue for some fans. Some are quite defensive of them, and others just passionately hate them. It’s hard to find anyone with a more “middle-ground” opinion on them.

It’s been pretty horrible regarding anything IDW for years now, but hopefully the thread split means more people will use the threads to actually talk about the comics instead of dumb drama.

Wow, IDW preview comes out, and 3 site assistants’ first instinct is to jump in and tell people to settle down. Has the community really gotten that bad here? Eesh.

Sorry about that. Was just pointing out that these comics do get pirated a lot on 4chan and that discussion of them often happens the second they come out because of this.

Speaking of which, has the artbook for the show come out yet? I definitely plan on getting that one…

Hmmm, interesting I guess. Not as interesting as the show’s Reference Guide or the Journal of the Two Sisters, so I’ll probably wait until Amazon or Barnes & Noble is having a sale. But interesting.

Few to none? IDW’s artists are never pilloried to the degree that the writers can be.
 
I heard there is going to be another cover gallery, I wonder if this is that or if it’s another thing entirely.
