It certainly can be, especially when sung, but Semitic languages are just always going to sound jarring to an ear tuned for Indo-European languages.
Почему же? арабский язык довольно мелодичный. Но я сам стал изучать арабский как раз благодаря его письменности. Она действительно потрясающая.
