Grasping at anything to give their dislike of the subject matter more relevance and authority. Nobody cares about your shitty media arts college or your high-minded ethics. The piece conveys what it wants to convey without extraneous effort or wasting time; it's ABOUT the abuse and tragedy. If I wanted to see something about everyone laughing and hugging and overcoming weaknesses, I'dgo fucking go look it up. And it doesn't need to be a god damn masterpiece that took months to animate and pushes the boundaries of the art world. It's a fluffy pony animation, it's already limited in it's reach inherently.
