Maybe they should go for a 2-hour cinematic release instead? :)
It’s trying to cram way too much into a ninety minute barely-feature-length TV time slot.
Writing EqG is tough. You have to straddle the line between the slice-of-life high school plot and the magical adventure plot. The first two movies did it pretty well, but Haber just hasn’t figured it out yet. (Note that in Legend of Everfree, Sci-Twi’s inner turmoil falls on the magical adventure side.)
It had so much potential but instead of focusing on the relationship dynamic that is clearly the core of the narrative they’d rather write about Milquetoast McLamejokes And The Very Tired Cliche Villain.
And yet…Friendship Games was still a better story than Twil––I mean, still a better story than Legend of Everfree.
Can someone remind me what happened in it? I can’t recall most of the story it was sorta forgettable. xD (Just kidding…but seriously, I felt Legend of Everfree was the weakest instalment yet by far)
That’s not that hard. Friendship Games was a bit of a mess.

Do you expect the fourth EqG movie to be even better than FG?
I am on the opposite end of that spectrum. Friendship Games is my favorite of the EQG movies

In a more serious note, even I, one of the most loyal EqG fan, find Friendship Games sorta disappointing I don’t really remember too much about things that happen in it.
Six. And the post had more to do with how identical the two shots are, rather than the ship.
It’s not pony Twi, though.
Also, Sunset Shimmer won’t come back to Equestria. At least not anytime soon, since she’s got 5 pony-humans to take care of.
