we did and we like it
interesting
does this pic look like thin rose quartz to you?
That was soooooooo six months ago.
We both like it. I’m not sure what the exact details are to why he likes it, but we both like it. Funny thing is, people I know were recommending it to me, and other people my dad knew were recommending it to him, and he decided to watch it, so I followed suit.
that works (the episode is a foreshadowing of the garnet reveal)
Cool! What’d he think? It’s awesome that there are shows like this that can be enjoyed equally by multiple generations at once.
It was filler, but it was fun filler! (Also, Hopper and Hoppy. One has only one eye. Steven is supposedly not ready to learn about them yet. Does that remind you of anything that happened in the season one finale?)
hopefully future episodes would make sense of ‘garnet’s universe’ (the biggest case for ‘it’s filler’ in the show so far.).
I binge watched it with my dad.
man do you know how much investigation-funding scratch there is in monetizing youtube videos of people getting their asses kicked by fruit
@OptimusPrimevil
The eleven minute format is absolutely brilliant, because it forces everything that happens to be important– there is zero fluff, so even the calm and quiet moments carry a huge amount of weight. You’re exactly right; a full 22 minute episode would make rewatching for extended context a bit of a chore, but keeping it that short means an entire story can be run through on a tablet or phone during a lunch break or between classes. Having the storyboarders write the episodes means they can condense a lot of storytelling into the visuals without any of it seeming over-compressed or unnecessarily dense.
priorities
he knocked out steven with a potato to the head.
granted he didn’t know it was steven but we’ve seen people hate other characters for far less.
No idea why people hate Ronaldo so much. I think he’s hilarious, though that may be because I spend so much time mocking conspiracy theorists and genuine sneople believers.
would the backtracking to see stuff that makes sense when you get the context work if the show was longer than it’s current form? as is, the short format makes backtracking (to see hints/clues) easier.
I watched all of Season 1 and the first few of S2 in about two weeks; at first it was just one or two episodes a night, but by the end of it I ran through the last dozen or so all at once. It stands up well to rewatching, too, since holy cats there is stuff going on in the background and references-you-don’t-realize-are-references-yet right from the beginning. There really are no filler episodes; even the Ronaldo eps– which generally seem to e the least popular– are (appropriately) full of clues and foreshadowing, and I’m increasingly sure that one of them had a great big hint about how they’re going to stop the current Impending Apocalypse™.
Well, I followed your advice.
I was missing out on so, so much.
Split up into Ruby and Sapphire
She just takes her giant hair bow off and starts arguing with it.
That’ll be interesting to see.
