This episode, so good. I actually talked about revisiting her old library place couple weeks ago. Did not expect it to happen today, so that was a nice surprise!

As for the art, that scene. I kinda expected her to this. But she had good self control wielding that stick :P
That scene, the pain, though…

The entire story probably hits quite a few folks in that sweet spot. (or bitter)
It’s quite a nice one to be covered. (although kids might not really have had the years to experience it quite the same) From that, to revisiting the old locations, to having history from before the entire generation’s first episode, and the old friends having the roles they did.
Gosh, it’s almost like we’re getting spoiled with all this sweet stuff!

Hope y’all enjoyed!

Approx Time: 10 hours
Timelapse: with the queue I have I should almost not write this here for now.

Would the bat be curving away from the pinata as it’s swung? Or maybe the bat is flexing from the impact, but that would mean that pinata would have to be absurdly tough, wouldn’t it? Does a baseball bat actually flex at all?
Dammit now I need to go find slow-mo footage of baseball bats.

It’s not a baseball bat, it’s just a length of wood. An actual bat would hardly bend, as they’re generally made of Ash wood, which is hard as hell.

Well duh, it’s a show for kids; the creators couldn’t make Moondancer go all “pyroland” in that scene. It would be too heavy, even for adults.

It was a pretty good scene. Putting that bat in her magical grasp just heightened the tension and gave her breakdown a lot more power.

I couldn’t help to think of the implications of the scene with the piñata. It’s obviously a traditional ‘burro’ piñata. So… it’s a bunch of unicorns beating up and destroying an effigy of a donkey?

For the artistic illusion of motion and force, the bat is drawn curved to give that sense of impact. Remember, everything in art is a big, hairy lie! The trick is making a convincing one. If the bat was just straight, information would be lost and it would look like she was just holding it still.
