I think they may have felt that if it died with Monty (ESPECIALLY on a weak-ass cliffhanger like that), he’d probably take it as an insult.

I was just as bothered by his passing, but I know that the staff he worked with would do well to carry on his legacy. I’m sure the people have inherited his spirit somehow.

Plus, I don’t like seeing such a grand series be discontinued like this.
