“appleflaritwidashpie” is a real aliases that makes it possible for people to enter that one tag, and then all of the implied tags are automatically generated by the system, and so it’s very handy for folks who draw this kind of fusion art.
And, you’re right - redundant tags are redundant.
It’s not hurting anypony but feel free to ask a mod. (shrug)
The second and third ones I quoted though, basically mean the same thing (and the first basically means the same, but has Princess in it too). Doesn’t this count as the sort of duplication that should be purged? :)

OK, most of the tags make sense, but… “princess trflutairaippinkle spdjacshiearkle”, “appledashtwilutterity pie”, “appleflaritwidashpie”…who the heck thought those ones up? :P
