Description

“Considering that just one of the preview clips is over 2 minutes of a 22-minute episode, those who didn’t want to be spoiled felt that Hasbro/Discovery Family is giving away too much and ruining the surprise of the episode. M.A.Larson himself compared it to watching half an hour of a movie as a preview trailer.”

I’m sorry but i disagree, you can avoid the trailer but you need to really want to avoid the trailer.
I say both the aduience for being too curious and the staff for being too spoilery are to blame IMHO

“If you avoid all trailers ever, you get the surprise during episode. But then you miss the chance to discuss the revealed scenes because by the time the episode airs they become old news for 99% of people and nobody but you would want to talk about it anymore”

That’s assuming that there is only one guy who decided to avoid all the spoilers.I’m sure other people decided to avoid all spoiler therefore you can discuss the “old spoiler” with those guys

Normally, trailers don’t reveal any particularly big spoilers so there’s no real need to avoid them. Well not this time. How would one know which trailers to watch and which to avoid without being spoiled? If the channel’s staff can’t manage their trailers properly they shouldn’t have been doing them altogether, the audience is not at fault here.

So yes, yes they’re twisting arms. It’s a lose-lose situation.

Yeah to make a better comparation since the episode is 22 mins and the the preview is 2 then we could say that they are giving is 10% of the whole chapter fragmented and to compare to a movie it would be more like a 15 to 20 mins (instead of 30 and asuming most movies range from 1 and a halg to 2 hours) trailer that would (of course) have a lot of spoilers, whichis quite terrible.

This is why I dont watch any preview, so far I know the episode will have vinyl and octavia, and that’s all I need to know before watching it.

If you don’t want to be spoiled, block spoiler tags and don’t watch previews. Simple as that.

@gittonsxv As excited as I was to see that, I agree with that. Part of the surprise of the 100th EP, is to blow our damn minds when it airs, adding more of the “They finally did it!” kind of feeling. Still got that, but would have been better if not shown as a preview. At this point, we’ve seen about 5 minutes of previews, with is 1/5 the whole Episode. I typically avoid previews for that reason, but could not help myself this time around. Despite the lack of surprise i’ll have in the 100th special, i’m still highly looking forward to it.
