That’s fair.  
When you’re in a family that sorta just can just die of anything, cancer included, you kinda get desensitized by this stuff unless it has some human qualities (something lighthearted, jovial, nothing depressing 24/7).

I’m not really feeling it, because it seems too easy to pull off the child with cancer thing. I don’t even remember if this tumblr has comedic relief.
