My headcanon too, ever since the EQG prequel book had her text someone right next to her. Her turntable is her voice, and because that’s what led to her career, I like to think that she’s perfectly fine with being mute and laughs to herself whenever others say “oh how horrible, I can’t imagine having to live like that,” etc.

I know a few DJs. Some are awkward, one’s rather nerdy, one’s a high-functioning autistic, and most just love the music or a particular genre and don’t care for the fame. I certainly don’t mind that characterization for Vinyl, but it’s like sometimes people like that voice because it’s something of a stereotype; a lot of media portrays DJs as being like that, but not all of them are.
I agree with this statement. Even without bringing Nowacking into the equation, I just like Vinyl being mute.
Nowacking is considered the vocal epitome for Vinyl; a voice that is, quote, “tomboyish, fun, energetic, and sexy”. Anyone else pales significantly in comparison.
Thus my stance on Vinyl being mute.
I bet if they actually ended up getting Nowacking, the fandom would explode even more.
I don’t get why no Nowacking will cause the fanbase to have their jimmies rustled.

Better mute than a Nowacking-less voice that’ll severely rustle the fanbase. Besides, it fits her; she speaks through her music (and texts, in EQG’s case) rather than words.
I like that Dr. Whooves sounds British this time. Instead of a Sonic Screwdriver, he probably uses a Sonic Rainboom Screwdriver.
I could agree. I like Octavia’s canon voice. I think it fits well.
I liked Kazumi Evans voice for Octavia in Rainbow Rocks and I also like EileMonty’s voice for Octavia, they’re both equally good in my opinion.
Yeah, that’s probably enough time. I doubt they’d keep her silent forever. Maybe Ashleigh Ball could work as Vinyl. I don’t know. Guess we have to see what happens.
I think Ashleigh Ball could be a good canon Vinyl Scratch, seeing that both Applejack and Rainbow Dash are tomboyish. If Vinyl Scratch doesn’t talk in this episode, she could end up speaking in a later episode. I believe that Friendship is Magic is going to be on for at least 4 more years, so that’s enough time for Vinyl Scratch to get an official voice.

No. But she’s kind of the semi-official voice of Vinyl within the fandom.
