Yeah, it does seem somewhat random. And it’s not even the other Rarity pose, which would have at least made this somewhat more interesting.

Because the upcoming Friendship is Magic collection is all centred around the Apple Family and Sweet Apple Acres, and these blind bag figures seem to be associated with them.
 
Now, we just have to hope for a more generic set for Ponyville, where we could get Trixie as a Single Story Pack (so she has her hat), or maybe even a Large Story Pack with her wagon.
