I have the book and it’s King GREGOR not Grover.
Did I miss something that was said because I don’t remember anything of how out of date the book was.
the book on gryphons twilight has was 50 years out of date. So this is 50 years of dilapidation and kinglessness, whihc if Gruff was in his 20’s would make him in his 70’s now.
Do we know how long was this prosperity before the kingdom fell apart?
That’s what I figure, he is also extremely old, not old enough to be the first king but he wouldn’t have to be.
Also King Grover was king when Celestia and Luna were first crowned princesses, according to Journal of the Two Sisters. So if they only had fourteen kings before falling apart, and at least one griffon is still alive from that time, then griffons must live quite a long time by human standards.
I don’t really have much evidence, but it seemed like maybe 20-50 years has gone by. Anything more than that and you’d think Twilight would have a more current book.
