You said the comics are non canon. You said this like a fact, which isn’t the case.
 
They are until they aren’t, the tweet I’ve shown says the are. You haven’t shown your tweet that apparently states otherwise, so you never really brought any evidence to this, but if it’s the one that caused a bit of drama at EQD(which is what I suspect it to be), it meant the same thing. They are canon until they aren’t.
 
I’m not trying to be a dick here, but don’t say you weren’t wrong when you were. Cos I have this conversation a lot about the canon legitimacy of the comics :p So hearing, ‘the comics are confirmed not canon’ irks me.

I’m not getting defensive, just calling you out on your incorrect ‘facts’.  
The tweet you’re likely referring too is saying that the comics can be superseded by the show and made non canon, but until then, they are still canon.  
And opinions are opinions. I happen to love the comics(most of them, anyway).

Hmmmm? well that is contradictory to another statement made a few months ago by a staff member but whatever the comics suck and won’t be brought up in the show anyway, also I actually like the comic that is being discussed it’s one of the few good ones so don’t get defensive.

This takes place after Discord’s betrayel. I think the crusaders aren’t going to like him after that, so I believe the comics are still canon.

Sad. The CMC and Discord were waaaaay cute in the comic. And it kinda sucks that their excellent adventure won’t come up in some out-of-context anecdote later on.

I’ll agree that at any time the show can refute a comics established canon, but them not liking Discord doesn’t mean ALL the comics aren’t canon.

It’s been stated already the comics are spinoffs of the show not the other way around as so to keep continuity in the show understandable for everyone watching.

Me heart broke at this scene. So it’s official: the comics aren’t canon. This was just a cruel thing that the writers did. They could have just left this scene out.

We can chalk up this scene as evidence comic canon =! show canon. In the comics, the CMCs befriended Discord.
