That too, the running gag in MST3k of the MADs trying to steal Joel’s invention ideas (and later carried over to Jonah) is kinda based off that Gallagher incident. They also took a few shots at Gallagher in said show. (Most notably Tom Servo’s rant in “First Spaceship to Venus.”)
Whether he was trying to steal his ideas, or not, and was just curious, it was still quite rude, and an invasion of privacy on Gallagher’s part.
@Stotter
You win.
Prop Comics Code. The picture that evokes.
Carrot Top and others in hooded robes doling out pun-ishment.
A long rubber tongue with a whip handle for tongue lashing, to slap your wrist with in case of light punishment.
Being made to face the music via the iron maiden, what appears to be the torture device but lacks spikes, instead featuring speakers to play Iron Maiden.
“You want a stretch on the rack?” A store rack with a Stretch Armstrong on it is wheeled in. “Too bad.”
The story I heard from Satellite News was that Gallagher once looked through Joel’s prop bag (a serious violation of the Prop Comics Code).
I actually liked Gallagher when I was little, but I hear he hasn’t been very nice lately, and getting a li’l egotistical. (Stating comedians should listen to him on what comedy should be like.)
Not to mention, he insulted Joel Hodgeson (creator of MST3k) once for relying on props in his comedy acts, which is rather ironic, as he’s also a prop-comic whom relies on props.
