In the comic books Eobard Thawne is actually a very distant nephew of Barry Allen. Thawne is a direct descendant of a villain calling himself Cobalt Blue. Cobalt Blue’s real name is Malcolm Thawne but he’s really the twin brother of Barry Allen from whom he was separated at birth And raised by a family of absolute scumbags who had a vendetta against the Allens for some reason.

Actually. Gilda was Dash’s closest friend… until one day Ahuizotl attacked and broke her spine. She tried to convince Dash to go back in time and fix it, unaware Dash just got done LEARNING how bad time travel was, and the rejection made Gilda hate Dash… until one day she found the suit worn by one of Dash’s greatest enemies, the Reverse Flash, and when she put it on…. the residual speedforce allowed her to walk again! So in her haste she decided to try the Cosmic Treadmill to change time… but there was an accident and the treadmill was destroyed. The energy from it gave Gilda a new power…. the power to manipulate time to appear as if she was moving fast… but it also further fractured her mind. She no longer hated Dash… she pitied her. She clearly didn’t understand how a hero should act…. and thus set out to cause her tragedy. To help Dash become a REAL hero…. at ANY cost.

I guess this makes her Professor Gilda, the Reverse Dash

I am well aware of all of the Reverse Flashes, but for the most part other than Eobard their relevance has passed, even Daniel West will likely ether die, fade into the background or become a mainly Suicide Squad character with the return of Thawne(again) next month. It’s a shame with Hunter though he was a very cool and different take, it’s a shame that the big team up between him and Eobard that was teased at the end of Rebirth and the Reverse Flash family that was also teased a few times before the reboot never got to actually happen.
 
ID say yeah, Dash would be coolest to Wally in his early days as the Flash, he was at his most cocky and non-serious at that time. That’s the personality most adapations use for him too so it’s what a lot of people are most familiar with for him, even though he changed a lot from that over time.

What everyone here is forgetting, there has been more than one Reverse Flash than Eobard Thawne. The first was Dr. Edward Clariss(Known as The Rival during Jay Garricks time), the second was Eobard Thawne(Known as Professor Zoom during Barry Allen’s time), the third was Hunter Zolomon(Known as Zoom during Wally West’s time), the fourth was Thaddeus Thawne(Known as Inertia during Bart Allen’s time), and the current Reverse Flash is Daniel West.
 
So technically we can cross Jay Garrick off the list because his costume is completely different. persoanlly, I see Dash as more like Wally West than Barry Allen.

I seriously think they should’ve chose celestia and twilight instead.

Yes. The 8th episode of The Flash is a crossover with Arrow, and the crossover continues on S3E8 of Arrow. It’s a good crossover.

Wikipedia says 22, but I don’t know if that counts the one that would air today. The show has been airing since October, though the pilot had been leaked beforehand.

I actually really like the current Flash TV series’s take on Reverse Flash, with the whole thing where he’s been pretending to be an ally of Barry but he was the one who murdered Barry’s mother all those years ago (though I did hear he was finally exposed a few episodes back, and the final battle against him, likely the season finale, is coming soon).

Remember how fast Pinkie ran in Griffon the Brush Off when chasing Rainbow Dash? Maybe Pinkie should be Reverse Flash. Or better yet, Spitfire.
