If I remember correctly, [its been a few years] not only was it her promise to Celestia, but also her being nigh on the verge of death when she went in. After all the major wounds and mutations and drugs she essentially had a few months left to live, and the project is basically acting as life support for her. With her only able to leave for a few hours every year or so.
I’m just gonna roll with this story being an AU where some of the events towards the end happened differently. We’ll see how well the story stands from there~
It wasn’t though. She went in there never expecting to leave. She had the option to leave but didn’t because she made a promise to stay by Celestia’s side. That’s the main reason she decided to stay. There was never a time limit, it was meant to be a one way trip.
AFAIK, she didn’t sacrifice herself for eternity. It was only a ten year project if I recall correctly.
That’s a matter of opinion, and one that I really disagree with you on, but I do agree that it’s blatantly different than the Pip in the original. And that’s my main issue with it. I just don’t see how she could go from where she was at the end of FO:E to here.
@Dustcan
A bit of time in isolation could arguably change you’re outlook on things but it wouldn’t completely change your personality as it does here. I just can’t see where she could possibly get it in her head that “not all raiders are horrible” or that she’s suddenly a submissive fragile little thing when she’s been in this giant megaweapon’s control pod for the last 10 years. Her body might deteriorate a bit but I feel like that’d give her a much more solid or even inflated sense of responsibility than it would double backing to near the beginning of her character arc from the original.
Eh, Littlepip’s schtick about being “Corrupted Kindness” is that she has a very ‘out of sight, out of mind’ mindset. If she were the one actively hunting them down then yeah, she’d want to kill them dead. But since she’s not acting on the spur of the moment, and has time to think, she’s back to naval gazing.
“Is there a chane that not all raiders are terrible?”
-> that’s a blatant difference from canon Pip right there. Kkat’s creation is all into that justifiable murder thing.
