Wow, Mods got ya quick.
That’s one reason why Flutters is my favourite ;D
I’m pretty introverted, but I like Rainbow Dash. She’s my least favourite of the Mane Six and she can be obnoxious (though granted Pinkie’s my 2nd favourite and she can get on my tits sometimes), but Dash is pretty cool. I do like her best when she comes across as more of a “cool big sis”, which is the impression I got from her in season 1. Or when she’s in “big sister mode” like with Scootaloo in Flight to the Finish.
I suppose it could also be that Twiley is an introvert too, just not in the same way Fluttershy is. And I can relate to Twiley’s introvertedness better than Fluttershy’s.
Perhaps. :)
Well, I’m a huge introvert and I LOVE Dash! People can be very different…
Well, to be fair Vegeta is freaking amazing.
Your Laundry has been sent to Princess Celestia.
Well what do you know? You’re a dragon! Go do my laundry, scale-face!
You two seem to have the most dynamic main character development, specifically in terms of heroic nature, within the show.
Rainbow Dash has always taken the ‘Jerk with a Heart of Gold’ route. She’s rough around the edges, wear’s an egotistical mask that can rub people the wrong way, but at the same time she is one of the most empathetic and kindhearted members of the group. She is extremely protective of her friend’s safety and conscious of their problems. She likes the comfort zone of acting dumb and self centered cause she is always concerned about others and has a strong sense of right and wrong. People matter to her more then rules, so she never hesitates to act on her heart, and she knows enough about being good AND being bad that she often understands the problems too hard or too grey for others. Whenever a situation calls for her to care about others, she does it, whether she needs to be a friend, a tease, a big sister, a town coach, an ambassador…she throws her heart into the situation with a fierce will and a never-say-die attitude.
Sunset, on the other hand, took on the role of “The Atoner Hero”. Her legacy and intimate connection with Celestia was a lot more personal then Twi, extremely close to the relationship of family, mother and daughter. She was a strong, kind and sincere pony, and she tried so hard to live up to her legacy, and Sunset had the talent and the strong will to do it, but with the bar so high and the focus so much on herself, those aspirations turned into cold ambition. Eventually she lost the ability to connect to others. She still ‘understood’ the childhood concepts of right and wrong, but she felt justified by her ambition to gain the power she thought she deserved. When the experience of turning into a demon let her feel the ugliness in her heart, it shattered the delusion of justified evil in her. 6 friends offered to help her pick up the broken pieces of her life, and it took a lot of courage to grab their hands with an open heart. She still has a ton of issues, and the anger and frustration never simply disappeared, but the depth of her compassion and will to change herself is nearly boundless.
I love most of the characters, but when it comes to the heroes in MLP, these 2 have got to be my favorite.
There was quite a bit more to it than just “jerkiness” in Sunset’s case in the first EQG as well, just saying, but she has always been a likable character to me, likable for her role and depiction as a villain, and likable as a protagonist, I find her back story pretty cool and interesting.
You were……..I’m sorry, my beloved, but you were so underdeveloped in the first movie it wasn’t funny. That hurt your character, but thankfully, you were given the chance to shine in the second movie…..Now we just need you in the show and my life will be complete.
Like the other main characters, she’s a really nice, and quite friendly pony. She obviously cares deeply about her friends and loved ones. She definitely has her softer/sweet side to her, too.
And Dash haters are moronic hypocrites.
Yeah, how dare hasbro make money to keep the show going! EQG is completely evil and should be wiped from the planet because you said so.
