I never said it was a good idea, just that as long as the wood is still alive it wouldn’t need to be sanded, polished, and varnished as often for it to not roughen and splinter in the act of pleasuring oneself with it.

living wood doesn’t splinter as readily as dead wood. its splinters are also more flexible so it’s harder to get cut with them.
