Is it that one where a Mary sue goes to Ponyville saying all thst stuff about being related near every main character but soon becomes her own pony by the end?
Mary Sueism isn’t always an obvious thing. Sure, there are a lot of warning signs, but Sueism is due to bad writing, not a particular set of traits, no matter how improbable or overpowered they may seem. Theoretically, as long as this character is written well, she wouldn’t be a Sue. I want to back up my statements with a link to an old Fimfic with a stereotypical “Sue” that still managed to have good characterization and gained a fair deal of popularity, but I forgot the name it was like in the ancient years of 2012.
I know right! I want her to be a thing.
Actually, I was too focused on the neon light signals of her mane to fully read her dialogue boxes. Okay, I take it back now.
Let’s see. Aside from the design, she also has a ridiculous name, an ‘amazing personality’, and insanely overpowered magic that would make Twilight Sparkle jealous. I think it’s worth equalizing her at this point.
A period, more than likely in 2011, saw a abnormally large number of black-and-red alicorns. This is where the, I want to say, subculture appeared.
