yes when someone only bullies bullies he can be called Batman :D But if he starts to enjoy it that doesn’t make him hero. Those who defends someone from other bullies not thinking about themselves those are real heroes. But laughing at someone and praying him death because we don’t understand him is just not right. Like you said he is sometimes dick to Fluttershy but he still wants to protect her. I agree that he needs to learn few things but wishing him to die. NO.

It was more of a shove than a kick, so it didn’t bother me. And while I sorta like Angel and think he does generally have Fluttershy’s best interests at heart (even if he is a spoiled brat), I have to admit I found this funny.
 
The fandom overreactions to this are kinda funny too, in their own way.

that kinda sounds vindictive, the way you put it.. I mean, when is enough abuse going to be enough, or is the glass never going to be full for that one slap that was admittedly also a wrong thing to do?
 
I’m not really sure I get the hate to be frank. I know why people hate Angel, but that scene I just find it wasn’t really meant the way we all took it and while that’s what it looks like, I’m mostly willing to look the other way because that was obviously not the intent, as well as the fact that earlier episodes made him look like more of a handful child, but still caring for Fluttershy’s well being..  
you’re free to do however you want I guess, I’m just saying, I’m not even watching the show right now and even for me it’s kind of hard no to keep constantly be reminded with as much of a grace as a baseball bat swing to the face, that we have to Hate Angel Bunny, some doing it just as much without any kind of understanding towards subtlety, just raw, mindless violence.. sometimes gore too, because that’s completely reasonable.
 
is this really all Angel Bunny is to the fandom nowadays, just a stressball to squeeze the brains out of everytime you can?

Angel was significantly nastier in that episode than in any other episode. Though it doesn’t really make much difference; pointless sadism is pointless sadism, even if you can call it a “consequence” of someone else’s actions (which you always can).

Don’t get me wrong I still find moments like these funny and as good karma but he really doesn’t deserve all the hate he gets.

That’s not how you make a pet better; you be stern and assertive and continually give them the food you want them to head with no other choice, and don’t let them get to thinking they own you. Violence never makes anyone be better, be it be a pet, or a person.
 
Yes, it’s definitely not a good attitude that Angel has, but violence doesn’t correct anything.

“It’s deserved” is something that every bully uses as an excuse. All that differs is what sort of perceived flaw they’re “punishing” in their victims; it’s still just inflicting pain and misery on people for the sake of personal enjoyment.
