It didn’t work this way in the show, but those words gave me the idea that ‘what if when Starlight used her cutie-mark snatching magic, it not only made them all loyal to her but gave everypony else in Our Town the same level of skill at partying, flying, sewing, magic, etc., as the Element Bearers’ As in, now all the Equal Ponies are as strong as AJ and as skilled at magic as Twilight?
There’s more than one way to do equality, after all.

I kinda think it was fake-convincemyself happiness though. Not like they broke a spell to make them want thier cutie marks back.
That too but we all know Discord wouldn’t have fun if everypony’s happy :P
And/or his friends (primarily Fluttershy and Twilight) no longer being the way they were.
Spike and a bunch of other non-cutie mark creatures (Like Discord) will then start a resistance movement to stop Starlight and return their friends to normal (Discord would only help cause he would hate that everyone’s living fine and dandy)

Not just Pinkie. These hairstyles would actually look pretty good on all of them if it weren’t for those faded colors, equal cutie marks, and smiles.
Except Rainbow Dash. None of those hairstyles would match her at all.
