I mean, this is literally the only Chemistry recipe I have committed to memory besides Space Drugs and Lube
it’s a pretty large source of lingual humor in english, too.
Japanese popular culture seems to think that “haha you can read this word two ways” is the pinnacle of lingual humor.
…wait what?
You and half of all Japanese people, judging by their humor.
Fun fact: phonetics and katakana shenanigans are pretty much the extent of what I know of Japanese.
Any words really, before the revised alphabet. Like Terebi and Kuromo (which is spelled with Kanji, but whatever), yeah? Also, yeah, I ought to memorize the actual date of when those letters were introduced one day. X3
Oh. *facepalm*
I think it might be probably unrelated to that though. If nothing else they might just use a “ji” in place of it, that’s what they did for “radio”.
I was talking about Sodium.
“ディ” represents a “di” sound, whereas “トリ” is “tori”, which is often used in place of “tri” sounds.
Japanese phonetics is fun.
Was probably hard to say without a ディ、which I’m told was invented after the Second War… Or I’m guessing because I don’t really remember. XD
Sodium: ナトリウム, natoriumu (from Latin “natrium”)
Potassium: カリウム, kariumu (from Latin “kalium”)
Same story with Carrots… You grow up thinking they’re rich in Vitamin A, (i.e. Beta-catenin), and then Tomattos, and Red Peppers come along.
BTW: Potassium = K for Kalium.
…K.
I hope it’s Flufflepuff.
Dude… Watch the Video…
Dude, to you, the spot where a fly lands is confirmation that Celestia is evil.
Confirmation that Celestia IS evil!
Considering what it was named after Scandium should be presented by Mjolna(Because Thor, and Scandinavia, I really shouldn’t have to explain this one).
Niobium is very important if you like computers, high-rise buildings, jet engines, satellites, and MRIs.
Makes sense, but it will take a while.
Scandium is relatively near…
The better question is which OC should it be, if they shoot for specifics
